Hi all this is
my 87 Chevy Celebrity black VR sedan. Mitch told me about the car and pointed
me to a page about it. I got ahold of the owner via email and then got a phone
number for her. My bro and I
went to look at the car. Looked kinda tired and had not ran in about four
years. We traded her my white 85 sedan for the VR. Then my dad towed it to
a garage I rented for it with his Suburban on a Uhaul trailer. Now I am doing
a full restoration on the car. Starting with the engine. Had a 2.8 V6 that
had blown a head. Head and some other parts were missing from the car. I knew
where a 3.1 V6 was in a 90 Celeb wagon. So we got that. Had to use my old
pan because pick n pull drains them by punching a hole! New engine looks great
in the bottom end and because the car it came from was hit from behind we
figure it is a good engine. Will also be replacing the power steering rack.
This page will cover the restoration of the car. Hope to have her looking
like new someday. For now I just want her to run on her own!
